Is This a Thought That You Hold?

   I've been so much into reading "The Secret". I've read two of their books already and currently I've just started reading their newest book which I bought at Frankfort Airport. I have "The Secret Daily Teachings" at work and everyday I would read a lesson. Anyway, today's teaching is something that is very well-known in Islam and in other religions as well. I won't say what it is right now. First, I'm going to quote what it says then I will mention it underneath the quatation. So here it goes:


"" Is this a thought that you hold?
"I have no money to give, but when I have money then I will give". If it is, you will never have money. The fastest way to attract anything is to give it to another, so if it is money you want to attract, then give it. You can give $10 or $5 or $1. It doesn't matter how much and it doens't matter where you give it, just give! ""


YES ... It's Charity, also known as Zakat, Alms or Donation.


   I've always been taught either at home or at school that the more you give to the needy, the more you will receive. It doesn't matter what or how much you give. It can be money, clothes, food ... just give it away. Our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said something like give the needy even if it was half a piece of date. See how small and simple that is??? You can always give out either personally from your hand to theirs or you can go online and see tons and tons of well-known and trust-worthy charitable sites that you can directly donate your money to. Also, go through your closet, I'm sure you will find tons and tons of clothes you never wore or you don't need. Just give it away. When it comes to food, you can look and ask for organizations that deal with extra food from your wedding, party, or even gathering. There are so many ways to give out charity. Believe me, the law of attraction will work along. Just go with the flow and GIVE GIVE GIVE.
